What does Steelbridge do with personal information?

Steelbridge collects what you send through the contact form or by email or phone, uses it to reply, and does not sell it. This policy describes this site, not the old WordPress install.

Who we are

Steelbridge, Sisters, OR 97759. Email chris@steelbridge.io. Phone 541-602-0978. The website is https://steelbridge.io.

Contact form

The form asks for your name, email, an optional phone number, and a message. Submitting it sends that information by email to chris@steelbridge.io. It is kept in that mailbox so the conversation can continue. The form includes a honeypot field that people are not asked to fill in, and a signed timestamp so a post sent in the first few seconds, or replayed from a copy of the page more than a day old, is dropped. A message with a long list of links, or with a common spam phrase, is dropped the same way. Dropped posts are not emailed. Do not put passwords, hosting logins, or identification documents in the message.

The Steel Camp page has a separate form for a beta invite. What that form collects is described in the Steel Camp privacy policy.

What this site does not do

There are no accounts and no comments. The contact form does not set a cookie. Steelbridge does not sell personal information.

Analytics

The production site loads Google Analytics 4, measurement ID G-FSDWW70L6M, after the page has finished loading, or on the first click, keypress, or scroll. It records a page view. It also records a lead when the contact form or an app beta form is accepted, and when a phone or email link is clicked. A submission the spam checks drop is not recorded as a lead. Staging, a local preview, and browsers that send Do Not Track do not load the script. Google may store a first-party cookie so visits can be grouped. Google’s policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.

Server logs

The host that serves this site may keep ordinary server logs, such as IP address, user agent, and the URL requested. That is a function of hosting, not a Steelbridge mailing list. Hosting questions belong with ParsonsHosting.

How long it is kept, and how to ask

Messages are kept long enough to do the work and to keep a record of what was agreed. Email chris@steelbridge.io to ask for a copy of a message you sent, or to ask that it be deleted. A request does not cover records that have to be kept for accounting, legal, or security reasons.

Embedded pages
